Artist Residencies : Deadline, Thursday, January 19, 2012

Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Artist Residencies : Workspace.

Since 1997, the Artist Residencies department has partnered with generous real estate owners in Lower Manhattan to address the critical need for studio, rehearsal, and presentation space for artists working in all disciplines. We secure donations of temporarily vacant ground floor retail spaces, gutted industrial spaces, upper level office floors, and subterranean bank vaults downtown and transform them into incubators for art. Space is granted through open calls for applications. By placing artists into the Lower Manhattan landscape we are simultaneously serving the arts community at large and enhancing downtown’s cultural environment.

Applicants must submit the Online Application Form and Work Samples by the deadline to be considered. Late and incomplete applications are not considered.
