Jean Burdick

Jean Burdick fuses drawing, painting and silkscreen printing techniques to repeat patterns and forms that create new, implied and unexpected relationships. Elements of nature are magnified, overlapped and obscured, reflecting the continual growth and change, which is the touchstone of the natural world.

Burdick received her MFA from University of the Arts, and her BFA from Pratt Institute, and has worked as a textile designer and arts educator. She was awarded a residency to the Banff Centre, Canada and received a Dodge Foundation Visual Artist Grant. Her work is included in public, corporate and private collections including Capital Health Medical Center (NJ), Johnson and Johnson Corporation, Mercer Co. Cultural/Historical Society (NJ), Mercy Health System (Norristown, PA), Miller School of Medicine (University of Miami), and the University Medical Center of Princeton.
