Heavybubble has released a new design called concrete.
Our new design sports a very light neutral gray background. We've added a thin white border around the images to help keep the color saturation from being dulled where it meets the background.
Galleries include a text option on the opening screen. We've found that many artists find a small quantity of text helpful to describe a series or to give context to the work. The medium sized, square thumbnails are cropped from the full image. The thumbnail gallery provides a feeling of the work it contains while creating anticipation for the full image.
We're taking advantage of the modern browser ability to see embedded fonts. The artist name is more distinctive now without having to create images.
The bio and statement screens also have a photo option.
We're working on a couple derivations of the theme. We hope to announce them relatively soon.
