Combining archival images and footage with an interview from 2006, the year she passed, this excerpt from !WAR focuses on the late great curator, museum director and arts writer Marcia Tucker. She describes the sexism in the hiring and salary practices of the art world when she was named curator of painting and sculpture at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1969, and how she came to found the highly respected and influential New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City.
