A morning practice begins before dawn as a notion considered, a thought, a meditation, soon engaged with language at its most intimate – letter by letter, written with crumbling press type and graphite pencil that flourishes in strokes. Color then washes across and over, its own language of veils becoming an expression guided by silent meditation and presence. Notion no. 64: too blue.  broken sky / glass / heart / hushed songbird / no why / count on blue / over you.
