Mallary Johnson

Mallary Johnson is a multimedia artist working with drawing, installation and photography. Her work engages with ecological issues and incorporates collaboration and participatory strategies to consider the intertwined relationships between humans and other living forms within specific environments. Recent projects have focused on issues related to bird migration and land use in the Lower Schuylkill River Region of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

 

 

Born in Chicago, IL, Mallary currently lives and works in Audubon and Philadelphia, PA. She received her BFA from Moore College of Art and Design in 2001 and her MFA in Visual Art from Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2011. Her work has been exhibited both locally and nationally and she currently teaches courses in drawing, painting, and photography for the Valley Forge Audubon Society.
